Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd's fight sport experience began when she was 14 years old. She studied kickboxing, boxing and wrestling before she made her first amateur appearance at WCFC in front of Jaimee Nievera. Ladd gained momentum from this victory and went on a 3-fight win streak at Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents within the first round in all the fights. In WCFC Ladd fought, she defeated Leslie Rodriguez with a unanimous decision. Aspen won over Silvia B beghian and Maddy Simmons prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia was able to hand Aspen a unanimous defeat and beat her in a match that tarnished Ladd's career as an amateur. Ladd bounced back from defeat by defeating Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, which brought her record to 8-1. Aspen signed her contract with Invicta FC in 2015 to start her journey in professional boxing. Invicta eleven saw Aspen slay Ana Carolina Vidal to score an KO early in the round. Invicta Fighter Championships 16. Aspen won the next match with Amanda Cooper through a second-round submission by armbar. Aspen's impressive wrestling skills took down McGill in the first round, and she was able to end her in the third round via TKO (elbows as well as punches). Aspen later fought Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18 at catchweight (138.1lb) in the event that Ladd did not have enough weight. Despite this, Aspen was able to dominate Hoy. The debut of Aspen Ladd's UFC debut was in UFC Fight Night 118 when she took on Lina Lansberg. She outclassed Lina with the ground and pound strategy which resulted in the TKO second-round victory. Ladd continued to dominate and racked up an impressive victory in her next bout against Tonya Evinger, who was fighting at UFC 229. Ladd defeated Evinger within the first minute and earned a reward for her performance on the evening. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes, in a UFC Fight Night dos Anjos-Lee fight with Eubanks of Sijara, was the first fight she's ever had in any significant way. Ladd took home an unanimous decision in an intense back and forth battle with the fighters, was awarded her Fight of the Night bonuses. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd within 16 seconds of the fight and ended the streak of winning. She came back to finish Yana Kunitskaya after the third round of UFC on ESPN 7. As a last-minute replacement to her UFC fight, she took on Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. Her defeat was decided by majority decision.
